The Invited Guests, Business Community, the coordinators, Ladies and Gentlemen, I salute you all.

Iam privileged and grateful to join you in this colorful occasion where from this day of 30th August, 2008- VOI will no longer be behind but among other towns of the world in terms of communication and other businesses.

It’s my sincere hope that all of us are proud of this VOI AFROCITI WEBSITE which shall link us with all parts of the world. The good of VOI will be known locally and also internationally.

I also wish to pass to you the greetings from my colleagues, the councilors who could not be with us in this day.

Ladies and gentlemen, I wish to assure you that the MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF VOI is very committed and willfully support the initiation of the VOI AFROCITI WEBSITE; that’s why we are with you today for the official launching of the function.

I really appreciate for the good idea of AFROCITI staff that spent their restless days and sleepless nights to make this project a success.

Let us all be proud of the website and let it be the tool for bringing changes in Voi Town in terms of DEVELOPMENT, INDUSTRIALIZATION, TRADE, and the ENVIRONMENT SECTORS so that VOI becomes a suitable place for living, working and doing business.

I urge all the people we come together so that we move forward socially and economically.

Please don’t leave Voi to leaders and the council but let us all take joint responsibility for the good future of Voi and its residents.

I also wish to inform you that our council will make sure:- roads will be maintained in their standard conditions, cleanliness is guaranteed, waste will be properly managed and disposed. Street lighting will be addressed very soon and in collaboration with TAVEVO WATER COMPANY, we shall make sure water problem a history in the near future. All areas will have clean water for domestic purposes

Let us not forget that we all need each other.

There shall be a forum for stakeholders and the business community to ensure smooth running of the Voi matters.
